Gmail Integration

Original Workspace can connect to your Gmail account so you can browse and read your inbox directly from the app.

What you can do​

  • Connect Gmail - Link your Google account via OAuth (read-only access to your inbox)
  • Browse emails - View your inbox messages directly inside Original Workspace
  • Read email details - Open individual emails with full body and attachments
  • Download attachments - Download files attached to emails
  • View processing logs - Review the history of previously processed emails
  • Disconnect Gmail - Revoke access and remove the connection at any time

Connecting your account​

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Find the Gmail Connection card
  3. Click Connect Gmail
  4. Authorize Original Workspace in the Google consent screen (read-only access)
  5. You'll be redirected back to Settings with a confirmation

Original Workspace requests read-only access to your Gmail. It cannot send, delete, or modify your emails.

Automatic email processing (AI email-to-task matching) has been retired together with the old AI assistant. Emails are no longer analyzed or matched to tasks automatically; you can still browse, read, and download them here.

Disconnecting​

To disconnect your Gmail account:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Click Disconnect on the Gmail Connection card
  3. Confirm the action

This removes Gmail access from Original Workspace. Processing logs are retained for reference.

Gmail and Google Calendar are independent connections. Disconnecting Gmail does not affect Google Calendar, and vice versa. If both are connected, disconnecting one preserves the other.
