TimeSheet

The TimeSheet section lets you log and review hours worked by team members across tasks and projects.

What you can do

  • Log time on a task - Record hours worked on a specific project task
  • Log a reason - Track non-task time (vacation, sick leave, internal meeting, training, …) against a timesheet reason instead of inventing a placeholder task
  • Attach a reason to a project - Optionally link a reason entry to a specific project (e.g. an internal meeting on project Pippo); those hours count toward the project but don't appear as a task
  • View timesheets - Browse time entries by team member, project, or date range
  • Edit entries - Update hours, date, or switch a slot between a task and a reason
  • Delete entries - Remove incorrect time logs

Key fields

FieldDescription
Task or ReasonEither a project task or a timesheet reason (vacation, meeting, …) — never both
Project (optional, with Reason)Project the reason refers to. Only available on reason entries; for task entries the project is derived from the task
UserThe team member who did the work
HoursNumber of hours logged
DateThe date the work was done

Timesheet reasons

Each workspace ships with a default set of reasons: vacation, sick leave, time off, internal meeting, training, administrative work. Admins can rename, recolor, deactivate, or add new ones from Settings → Tools → Categories (filter by Reason).

tip

Use reasons for any non-task work. They keep your task list clean and prevent placeholder tasks from polluting workload and project reports. When the reason concerns a specific project (typical case: an internal meeting on project Pippo), pick the project in the optional Project field — the hours will be counted in that project's totals and Admin TimeSheet reports without creating a fake task.

info

A single time entry is linked to either a task or a reason, never both. The slot editor exposes two tabs ("Project task" / "Reason") so you can choose at entry time. The optional project field is only available in the Reason tab.
